Answer:

37 centimeters

Step-by-step explanation:

First, since the triangles are similar, find out how much larger STR is than HIJ by finding an similar side and dividing the numbers. Since the only similar side that we know both numbers on it ST and HI, so we divide 10 by 4 to get the unit rate, which is 5/2. The missing side on STR is the bottom, so to get it, multiply 6, the bottom of the other triangle, by the unit rate, 5/2, to get the answer of 15. Then, perimeter is all of the sides added up, so 10+12+15=37 cm.

(hope this helps :P)

calculus, geometry, arithmetic among a few

Step-by-step explanation:

Mathematics is involved in winter Olympics in different aspects like arithmetic which helps in scores, measurements, quantities and motion  of the sport  like hockey, running.

Scoring in ice skating involves arithmetic operation when an individual element is assigned points and  judged on performance level( triple axle is 3 points but overall performance and artistry is measured by the judges).

Another is Calculus  which helps to understand the change in acceleration and velocities while each skaters start at zero then win, Lines in Geometry such as the finish/start/sight lines helps players with angles of reflection, measuring angles and angles of incidence.

What number has the same value as 30 tens
Yuliya22 [10]
Multiplication should be used here. 30 tens means number ten should be added 30 times. 10+10+...+10 thirty times, which can be written as 10 x 30 which gives us the number 300. We get the same answer if the value of 10 thirties is required. We can use the same way to get the answer like the question given in the begging.
