This statement <span>''All systems should aim to achieve 99.999-percent up time''</span> is false.

In reality, all systems should aim to achieve an up time of 99.99%

The different between 0.99 and 0.9999 might not seem a lot but if we actually calculate the percentage points it represents and the amount with which we need to improve efficiently, it almost becomes impossible to reach 99.9999% up time.

How do pH levels affect enzymes
slamgirl [31]
Enzymes function best at the normal pH level they were made to be in. Most work best at a neutral pH level (7), but some enzymes such as pepsin (located in the stomach) work best in very acidic pH levels. If the pH level becomes too acidic for the enzyme, it can lead to denaturing of the enzyme's active site.

Why do you suppose there is that 42-mile difference?
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

The earth rotates on the axis that passes through the north and the south of the planet and is of 24-hour duration. Similar to that of the rotation of the moon which is sideral, this rotation is in the anticlockwise direction. And this originated by the angular movement of the clouds of the dust and gases that have coalesced to for the solar system.

Thats answer is something else i think since your going up its much more faster then going around equator sin earth rotates on its axis

Single-celled algae and multicellular plants
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

<em>The correct option is A) make food.</em>

Explanation:

Photosynthesis can be described as a process by which organisms like plant and some algae make their own food. They use light energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. Oxygen is the by- product of this reaction. Hence, option A is correct.

Other options are wrong because photosynthesis is not a process by which energy can be extracted from food or it is not a process by which excretion of waste occurs. Neither is it a process of reproduction.

Scientific Question: What is the effect of major flooding events on adult and juvenile trout
seraphim [82]

Answer:

The population decreases.

Explanation:

Flood has a very adverse effect on the population of both adult and juvenile trout that lives in the streams because the trouts which has less than one year age are not good swimmers so they can't with stand with the fast flow of water during flood condition so the population of both adult and juvenile trout decreases in that stream in which flood occurs.
