Answer:

20+7x

Step-by-step explanation:

you'd multiply 2 by 5 and 2 by 3x which will give you 10+ 6x; Then add the others : 2(5+3x)+(x+10) would be 10+6x+x+10 so its 20+7x.     .

Answer: 30+4x or 2(15+2x)

Step-by-step explanation:

So the way you would do this is actually kinda simple.

You question is 2(5+3x)+(x+10)

First you wanna add the common number together. So you would change you problem to

2(5+10)+(x+3x)

Now you want to start by solving 2(5+10)

The two on the outside means you multiply so you would do

2x5+2x10 you would get the answer 10+20=30

Now you’re equation is 30+(x+3x)

So now you need to do (x+3x) in this case we would make X=1

So you do 1+3(1) or 1+(3x1) And you get 4x

Now you have the answer 30+4x or to siplfy it you get 2(15+2x)

Hope this helps you xoxo

Perform the indicated operation to write given polynomial in standard form: (2x^3 − 6x^2 − 7x − 2) +(x^3 +x^2 +6x − 12)
Kipish [7]

Answer:

\left(2x^3-6x^2-7x-2\right)+\left(x^3+x^2+6x-12\right)=3x^3-5x^2-x-14

Step-by-step explanation:

To add the polynomials

Remove parentheses:

\left(2x^3-6x^2-7x-2\right)+\left(x^3+x^2+6x-12\right)=2x^3-6x^2-7x-2+x^3+x^2+6x-12

Group like terms:

=2x^3+x^3-6x^2+x^2-7x+6x-2-12

Add similar elements:

=3x^3-6x^2+x^2-7x+6x-2-12\\=3x^3-5x^2-7x+6x-2-12\\=3x^3-5x^2-x-2-12\\=3x^3-5x^2-x-14

The Standard Form for writing down a polynomial is to put the terms with the highest degree first, its term of 2nd highest is 2nd etc..

In our case the standard form is

\left(2x^3-6x^2-7x-2\right)+\left(x^3+x^2+6x-12\right)=3x^3-5x^2-x-14

A store is having a 20% off sale. The sale price of an item with price p is p-0.2p.what is an equivalent expression
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

0.8p

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

As the questions states, 20% of p is 0.2p.

Simplifying the equation:

  • p - 0.2p
  • 0.8p

0.8p is also 80% of p, which can be translated to 100% - 20% of p.

The equivalent expression is 0.8p.
