To find the percent, divide the tip by the meal cost:


5.22 ÷ 29 = 0.18 = 18%


Jerry left an 18% tip.


To find the total cost of the meal, add the tip and the meal cost:


5.22 + 29.00 = 34.22


The total cost if the meal, including tip, was $34.22.
