We know that it is equivalent because of the use of the associative property . The property is beneficial because it makes equations easier to compare .

Need to solve for Y by filling in the blanks<br>(y +44)°, 86, (3y)°
lapo4ka [179]
Answer:

1.89

Solution:

We have -44x - 86 = -3

First, we move the non x terms to the RHS of the equation. To do this, we add 86 to both sides.

Note: if a = b, then a + c = b + c
Therefore, -44x - 86 + 86 = -3 + 86

or, -44x = 83

Next, divide both sides by -44, which is the coefficent of x

Note: if a = b, then a ÷ c = b ÷ c
-44x
-44
=
83
-44

or, x = -1.89

Multiply and simplify. (2x - 1)(6x - 7)
Kryger [21]

Answer:

D) 12x² - 20x + 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Use FOIL when multiplying 2 binomials...

FOIL is Firsts, Outsides, Insides, Lasts.  It's the order in which you multiply the numbers in the binomials...

(2x - 1)(6x - 7)

Firsts:  (2x)(6x) = 12x²

Outsides:  (2x)(-7) = -14x

Insides:  (-1)(6x) = -6x

Lasts:  (-1)(-7) = 7

Now add them up...

12x² - 14x - 6x + 7

    12x² - 20x + 7

I do not understand these.

Answer:

k(-1) = 7.

Step-by-step explanation:

k(-1) is the value of the function k when x = -1.

You read this off the graph.

Find the value of the point  on the graph which corresponds to x = -1.  From x = -1 on the horizontal axis move straight up until you meet the graph of k. Now look horizontally to the right  and read off the value on the vertical

 y-axis

You'll find it is 7.
