Traditional square of opposition shows relationship between various kinds of propositions, asserting or denying something about - all or few members of a group :

  • A : Universal Affirmative ; eg -  'All S are P'

  • I : Particular Affirmative ; eg - 'Some S is P'

Relationships between them :
