employees. More and more companies have adopted written codes of ethics. Trust and cooperation between workers and managers must be based on fairness, honesty, openness, and moral integrity. The same applies to relationships among businesses and between nations. Compliance-based ethics codes emphasize preventing unlawful behavior by increasing control and penalizing wrongdoers.
