18a.

the y-intercept is the value of the function at x = 0.
so y-intercept is 5/8.

constant multiplier you can find by dividing a y-value by the previous y-value:

(y at x = 1) / (y at x = 0) is
(15 / 32) / (5 / 8)
but dividing by fraction is same as multiplying by reciprocal:

(15 / 32) · (8 / 5) ⇒ (15 · 8) / (32 · 5) ⇒ (3 · 1) / (4 · 1) = 3/4
(since 15 and 5 cancel to 3 and 1; 8 and 32 cancel to 1 and 4

the constant multiplier is 3/4 (you can confirm by repeat multiplying the y-values by 3/4 to get the next one)

18b.

y-intercept is 0.01

constant multplier:

(y at x = 1) / (y at x = 0) = 0.1 / 0.01 = 10

constant multiplier is 10

18c.

y = m/n(o/p)^x

y intercept is at x = 0:
y = m/n(o/p)^0
since anything to power of 0 is 1, we are left with
y = m/n

y-intercept is m/n.

The constant multiplier is o/p

i don't really have news papers or magazines around for that last bit, but if you could look for population data and such they can be exponential.

Sales price $6.74 per unit
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

Margin of safety = 3190.922902 units rounded off to 3191 units

Explanation:

Margin of safety is the cushion or extra number of units that the business sells over the break even point in units. The break even point is the point where total revenue equals total cost and the business earns no profit or no loss. To calculate the margin of safety in units, we deduct the break even number of units from the budgeted number of units or sales.

Margin of safety = Budgeted units - Break even number of units

First we need to calculate the break even in units. The formula for break even in units is,

Break even in units = Fixed cost / (Selling price per unit - Variable cost per unit)

Break even in units = 9376 / (6.74 - 2.33)

Break even in units = 2126.077098 rounded off to 2126 units

Margin of safety = 5317 - 2126.077098

Margin of safety = 3190.922902 units rounded off to 3191 units

traci budgeted $770 for fixed expenses and $530 for living expenses per month. She has no annual expenses. Her annual net income
Nuetrik [128]

ANSWER: Surplus by $1,152

EXPLANATION: Traci had a budget of $770 for fixed expense and $530 for living expenses per month which adds up to $1,300 expenses per month. Since she has no annual expense, her yearly total expense would be $15,600.

Traci earns $16,752 so by subtracting her expense from income, we get $16,752 - $15,600 = $1,152

kozerog [31]

Answer:

d. nominal GDP is $500, real GDP is $400, and the GDP deflator is 125.

Explanation:

Real GDP is total output produced in an economy within a given period multiplied by base year prices

Nominal GDP is the sum of all final goods and services produced in an economy within a given period multiplied by current year prices.

Nominal GDP = (100 × $3) + (50 × $4) =

$500

Real GDP = (100 × 1.5) + (50 × $5) = $400

GDP deflator = (nominal gdp / real gdp) x 100

(500 / 400) × 100 = 125

Lincoln Park Co. has a bond outstanding with a coupon rate of 5.73 percent and semiannual payments. The yield to maturity is 6.7
Natalija [7]

Answer:

Bond Price= $1,774.05

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Coupon rate= 0.0573/2= 0.02865

YTM= 0.067/2= 0.0335

The bond matures in 23 years.

Par value= $2,000

To calculate the bond price, we need to use the following formula:

Bond Price= cupon*{[1 - (1+i)^-n] / i} + [face value/(1+i)^n]

Bond Price= 57.3*{[(1 - (1.0335^-46)] / 0.0335} + [2,000/1.0335^46]

Bond Price= 1,334.76 + 439.29

Bond Price= $1,774.05
