Answer:

The equation in slope-intercept form of required line is: \mathbf{y=\frac{2}{3}(x)-6}

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to write equation in slope-intercept form to represent the line on the  graph.

The general equation in slope-intercept form is: y=mx+b

Where m is slope and b is y-intercept

Finding slope using formula: Slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\\

Looking at he graph we have

x_1=3, y_1=-4, x_2=6, y_2=-2

Putting values in formula and finding slope:

Slope=\frac{-2-(-4)}{6-3}\\\\Slope=\frac{-2+4}{3}\\Slope=\frac{2}{3}

So, we get slope m = 2/3

Using slope m=2/3 and point (3,-4) we can find y-intercept

y=mx+b\\\\-4=\frac{2}{3}( 3)+b\\-4=2+b\\b=-4-2\\b=-6

So, y-intercept b = -6

The equation of line having m=2/3 and b=-6 will be:

y=mx+b\\y=\frac{2}{3}(x)-6

The equation in slope-intercept form of required line is: \mathbf{y=\frac{2}{3}(x)-6}

Which expression shows the correct way to find the distance between (18, 20) and (32, 16)?
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

Basically if your spending like 10 minutes trying to understand that hand writing the question is asking for the formula you would use to find the distance and the ANSWER is <u><em>√(32-18)^2+(16-20)^2</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Which im a very stubborn person and i tried to solve that language from NBG1 and it click, if you replace the variables from the  Distance Formula then you will get the answer

But if you are trying to solve the distance then it will be <em><u>18.4</u></em> because you find the distance from the 3rd missing dot which will be( 18,16)  and you will get  <u><em>√(</em></u>4^2+18^18)

which will give you <u><em>√</em></u>340

<u><em>and you have to estimate to the nearest tenths which will be 18.4  </em></u>

Harry and Terry are each told to calculate 8−(2 5). Harry gets the correct answer. Terry ignores the parentheses and calculates
KIM [24]
There is a sign missing, but I think it's a "+" like this:

8-(2+5)

H, ,that is Harry's answer would be:

first the bracket:

8-(7)

and then the whole expression:
8-(7)=1, so H=1

Terry's answer would be:

8-2+5, which we do from left to right:

6+5=11, so T=11

then H-T is 1-11, which is -10.
