Answer:

the difference in elevation is 18.5 m

the elevation of submarine is -7.75m

so elevation of helicopter is = - 7.75 + 18.5

Can all linear functions be modeled by an arithmetic sequence? if not, provide a counterexample
Brut [27]
It depends. Generally no.

Linear equations are generally in the form [math]y=mx+b[/math] and have a domain of [math](-\infty,\infty)[/math], or all real numbers. However, an arithmetic sequence is only defines for the natural numbers (that is, while numbers [math]> 0[/math].

For any two terms in the arithmetic sequence, [math]a_n[/math] and [math]a_{n+1}[/math], there will always be a point on the linear function that lies in between them, and is such not defined in the sequence.

This does not make the sequence and function unrelated, but rather it makes them not the same.

A similar argument applies for geometric sequences and exponential equations.

What is 4(m+3)=10m-6?
AleksAgata [21]
4(m+3) =10m-6
4m +12= 10m-6                  Expanded the brackets
12= 6m -6                          took away 4m from both sides
18=6m                               added 6 to both sides
m=3                                    divided both sides by 6

Determine whether it is reasonably possible that the proportion of adults from country a and the proportion of adults from count
viva [34]
It is possible that the proportion of adults in Country A equal to the proportion of adults in Country B. This statement does not necessarily mean that the populations of adults in the two countries are equal. It is the proportion and not the exact population. This occurs when the ratio of the population of adults to the total population of Country A is the same as that of the ratio of the population of adults to the total population of Country B.
