Answer:

- Society: the use of genetic improving techniques may have a positive impact through crop improvement of traits of agronomic importance such as, for example, resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses.

- Environment: the development of genetically modified crops conferring resistance to pesticides may have a negative effect on wildlife species  (both plants and animals) and humans living in such agroecosystems.

Explanation:

In crops, genetic improvement technologies can be defined as the techniques associated with the development of better crop varieties, i.e., varieties that have higher grain yield, produce more biofuel, higher fiber content, etc. Genetic improvement techniques include, among others, selective breeding and genetically modified organisms. In crops, genetic improvement techniques have the potential to reduce hunger in the world. However, it is important to note that genetic engineering may be associated with the horizontal transference of genes and the development of genetically modified organisms (GMO), which may have harmful effects on wildlife species and humans, thereby GMO crops must be carefully assessed before their release into the field.

Pepsi [2]

Answer:

Almost immediately after injection, you find yourself swept into a good-sized chamber, the left atrium. However, you do not stop in this chamber, but continue to plunge downward into a larger chamber below. You land with a large splash and examine your surroundings. All about you are huge white cords, hanging limply from two flaps of endothelial tissue far above you. You report that you are sitting in the left ventricle chamber of the heart, seeing the flaps of the mitral valve above you. The valve is open and its anchoring cords, the chordae tendineae, are lax. Since this valve is open, you conclude that the heart is in the systole/contraction phase of the cardiac cycle.

Explanation:

Once the oxygenated blood enters the heart through the pulmonary vein, it goes to the left atrium. From there, it goes down to the left ventricle passing through the mitral valve, also known as the bicuspid valve. This valve prevents blood's backflow when the heart contracts, allowing the blood's flow from the ventricle to the aorta.

The chordae tendineae, also known as tendinous cords, are in the mitral and the tricuspid valve. They are cords that are attached to the valve and the heart walls. They are lax during atrial systole, and with the help of blood pressure, they allow the valve to open and welcome the blood into the left ventricle. The tendinous cords are tense during ventricle systole preventing the valve from opening and causing a backflow from the ventricle to the atrium.

Answer:

Expertise in 1 area

Explanation:

If you had a general knowledge of literally everything, that is great for mastering school. But, you are not going to school your whole life. You need college, work, and so on. When in college, it isn't like school, you can only choose 1 subject. Thus, it is good to expertise in 1 area.

I hope this helps you :)

Black death, also known as the bubonic plague was one of the worst pandemics that ever happened, killing around 1/3 of Europe's population. It spread to Europe in the mid 1300's from China.

Black death victims were treated through magic, witchcraft, prayer and other methods. As for the two other options, they used medicine, but not antibiotics and radiation hadn't been discovered yet (it was discovered in the 1900's)
