Answer:

I do not see the model, but based on what you are telling me, I believe that both the fractions are equal is what is being shown. They are, in other words, equivalent fractions

Answer:

The models show that both fractions are equivalent.

Step-by-step explanation:

The model shows they have the same value but are just divided in different ways. Also, if you reduce 4/8 you get 2/4 meaning they are equivalent.

NOTE* We cannot see the models.

Let L be the line with parametric equations x=5+t,y=6,z=−2−3t. Find the vector equation for a line that passes through the point
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

The required equations are

(-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j + 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10+\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}})\hat i -\hat j +(6- \frac {9}{\sqrt {10}})\hat k\right)=0 and

(-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j + 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10-\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}})\hat i -\hat j +(6+ \frac {9}{\sqrt {10}})\hat k\right)=0.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given parametric equation of the line, L, is x=5+t, y=6, z=-2-3t, so, an arbitrary point on the line is R(x,y,z)=R(5+t, 6, -2-3t)

The vector equation of the line passing through the points P(-5,7,-8) and R(5+t, 6, -2-3t) is

\vec P + \lambda \vec{(PR)}=0

\Rightarrow (-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j - 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((5+t-(-5))\hat i + (6-7)\hat j +(-2-3t-8)\hat k\right)=0

\Rightarrow (-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j - 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10+t)\hat i -\hat j +(6-3t)\hat k\right)=0\;\cdots (i)

The given equation can also be written as

\frac {x-5}{1}=\frac {v-6}{0}=\frac{z+2}{-3}=t \; \cdots (ii)

The standard  equation of the line passes through the point P_0(x_0,y_0,z_0) and having direction\vec v= a_1 \hat i +a_2 \hat j +a_3 \hat k is

\frac {x-x_0}{a_1}=\frac {y-y_0}{a_2}=\frac{z-z_0}{a_3}=t \;\cdots (iii)

Here, The value of the parameter,t, of any point R at a distance d from the point, P_0, can be determined by

|t \vec v|=d\;\cdots (iv)

Comparing equations (ii) and (iii)

The line is passing through the point P_0 (5,6,-2) having direction \vec v=\hat i -3 \hat k.

Note that the point Q(5,6,-2) is the same as P_0 obtained above.

Now, the value of the parameter, t, for point R at distance d=3 from the point Q(5,6,-2) can be determined by equation (iv), we have

|t(\hat i -3 \hat k)|=3

\Rightarrow t^2|(\hat i -3 \hat k)|^2=9

\Rightarrow 10t^2=9

\Rightarrow t^2=\frac {9}{10}

\Rightarrow t=\pm \frac {3}{\sqrt {10}}

Put the value of t in equation (i), the required equations are as follows:

For t= \frac {3}{\sqrt {10}}

(-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j - 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10+\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}})\hat i -\hat j +\left(6-3\times \frac {3}{\sqrt {10}})\hat k\right)=0

\Rightarrow (-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j - 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10+\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}})\hat i -\hat j +(6- \frac {9}{\sqrt {10}})\hat k\right)=0

and for t= -\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}},

(-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j - 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10+\left (-\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}}\right))\hat i -\hat j +(6-3\times \left(-\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}}\right)\hat k\right)=0

\Rightarrow  (-5 \hat i + 7 \hat j - 8 \hat k )+\lambda \left((10-\frac {3}{\sqrt {10}})\hat i -\hat j +(6+ \frac {9}{\sqrt {10}})\hat k\right)=0

A botanist collected one leaf at random from each of 10 randomly selected mature maple trees of the same species. The mean and t
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

One sample t-test for population mean would be the most appropriate method.

Step-by-step explanation:

Following is the data which botanist collected and can use:

  • Sample mean
  • Sample Standard Deviation
  • Sample size (Which is 10)
  • Distribution is normal

We have to find the best approach to construct the confidence interval for one-sample population mean. Two tests are used for constructing the confidence interval for one-sample population mean. These are:

  • One-sample z test for population mean
  • One-sample t test for population mean

One sample z test is used when the distribution is normal and the population standard deviation is known to us. One sample t test is used when the distribution is normal, population standard deviation is unknown and sample standard deviation is known.

Considering the data botanist collected, One-sample t test would be the most appropriate method as we have all the required data for this test. Using any other test will result in flawed intervals and hence flawed conclusions.

Therefore, One-sample t-test for population mean would be the most appropriate method.

What does algebra mean in math
Ghella [55]
Algebra is solving for the unknown so
 if you have 10 apples and you give 5 to your friend, how many apples would you have so that is also 10-5=x solve for x

or it could be more complicated like (x-2)/6+4x-3=17

vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

1.8 ; 11.8 ; 4.18

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data:

X : 2.4,1.6, 3.2,0.3, 1.5

Mean, m = Σx / n

Σx = 9 ; n = 5

m = 9 /5

m = 1.8

If data is increased by 10:

X : 12.4, 11.6, 13.2, 10.3, 11.5

Σx = 59 ; n = 5

m = 59 /5

m = 11.8

If data values is doubled :

X : 5.76, 2.56, 10.24, 0.09, 2.25

Σx = 20.9 ; n = 5

m = 20.9 /5

m = 4.18

Maslowich
Okay. I’m no mathematician, but I’m pretty sure it would be 995/90 = h. I used the “/” as the divide symbol. This would be the equation because you need to divide the total by the cash per hour to be able to get the number of hours the plumber worked. I really hope this helps!
