Answer:

C. Emotionalism

Explanation:

Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" was made in <em>1942</em>. It's an<em> oil painting </em>that's considered to be one of the most popular paintings in the <em>American art</em>. You can even find movies or cartoons inspired by it.

The painting represents "Emotionalism" because it was painted during such time when people in New York felt scared by being attacked by the Nazis. So, there were times when people would intentionally turn off the street lights causing darkness. The diner in the painting shows such situation. The environment outside is dark while the diner is the only one brightly lit. Such brightness showed people that, somehow, there was hope for them even during such trial times. So this evokes emotion and a bit of loneliness. The four people in the image shows unrelated people who would come to seek for hope by going to the diner. They are at least trying to reconnect with each other.

Auteur theory ________. Group of answer choices considers films to be art, as they represent a realization of the director’s cre
Vlada [557]

Answer:

E). All of the other answers.

Explanation:

Auteur theory is described as the supposition that considers and offers more importance to the director as 'an author' instead of the screenplay writer as it is he whose artistic vision shapes a film and is reflected in it. He is the one who is the key creative force that supervises the audio along with the visual elements of a film and offers a consistent artistic outlook to the film. Thus, 'all the given options' would be correct in the context of 'Auteur theory' as <u>'it considers the film as an art which is the product of director's creative vision instead of the screenwriter' and 'it also highlights the characteristic elements of a film or selection of films, including both appearance and content</u>.'<u> </u>Thus, <u>option E</u> is the correct answer.

Score is music specifically composed for a film and is non-diegetic. True or False?
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

A diegetic piece of music is meant to characterize or emphasize some part of the film. It should be used sparingly.

A score is a piece of incidental music to act as a background. If it is continuous, it can destroy the mood as it competes with what is going on in the film.

The statement can be true.
