Answer: length = 8cm

Width = 4cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width of the rectangle be represented by x.

Since the length of a rectangle is twice as long as the width of the rectangle, then the length will be: = 2 × x = 2x

Note that, Area of a rectangle = Length × Width

Therefore,

2x × x = 32

2x² = 32

Divide both side by 2

2x²/2 = 32/2

x² = 16

x = ✓16

x = 4

Therefore, width = 4cm

Since length = 2x

Length = 2 × 4cm = 8cm

Check: length × width = Area

8cm × 4cm = 32cm²

Anyone know 14!!!!! Please help me!!!!!:(
asambeis [7]

-- They're losing employees . . . so you know that the line will slope down, and
its slope is negative;

-- They're losing employees at a steady rate . . . so you know that the slope is
the same everywhere on the line; this tells you that the graph is a straight line.

I can see the function right now, but I'll show you how to go through the steps to
find the function.  I need to point out that these are steps that you've gone through
many times, but now that the subject pops up in a real-world situation, suddenly
you're running around in circles with your hair on fire screaming "What do I do ?
Somebody give me the answer !".

Just take a look at what has already been handed to you:

0 months . . . 65 employees
1 month . . . . 62 employees
2 months . . . 59 employees

You know three points on the line !

(0, 65) ,  (1, 62) ,  and  (2, 59) .

For the first point, 'x' happens to be zero, so immediately
you have your y-intercept !    ' b ' = 65 .

You can use any two of the points to find the slope of the line.
You will calculate that the slope is negative-3 . . . which you
might have realized as you read the story, looked at the numbers,
and saw that they are <u>firing 3 employees per month</u>.
("Losing" them doesn't quite capture the true spirit of what is happening.)

So your function ... call it ' W(n) ' . . . Workforce after 'n' months . . .

is           <em>W(n) = 65 - 3n</em> .

Why is -7 an integer but not a natural number?
MrMuchimi

Answer:

Natural Numbers are basically "counting numbers". If I ask you to start counting, you'll start at 1, then 2, then 3, and so on. It doesn't include 0 or any negative numbers because you wouldn't start from -10 when asked to count.

Morgan Bowie is trying to determine the amount to set aside so that he will have enough money on hand in 3 years to overhaul the
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

$468.09

Step-by-step explanation:

first we must calculate the expected future value of the engine overhaul:

($390 x 10%) + ($570 x 30%) + ($750 x 50%) + ($790 x 10%) = $39 + $171 + $375 + $79 = $664

now we must determine the present value of $664 using a 6% interest rate:

PV = FV / (1 + r)⁶ = $664 / 1.06⁶ = $468.09

Eva is making a pattern using these shapes can you arrange Evas shapes to make a symmetrical pattern
ratelena [41]

Answer:

pyramid, cone, sphere, cube

Step-by-step explanation:

A symmetrical pattern is one that is arranged in such a way that there is a progressive repetition of a pattern. Each pattern formed is the same with respect to each other.

Eva could form series symmetrical patterns with the shapes he has, which depends on the arrangement of the shapes to form desired pattern.

One simple pattern to be formed is;

pyramid, cone, sphere, cube

pyramid, cone, sphere, cube

pyramid, cone, sphere, cube

pyramid, cone, sphere, cube.

Thus, this would generate four symmetrical continuous patterns.

pyramid, cone, sphere, cube : pyramid, cone, sphere, cube : pyramid, cone, sphere, cube : pyramid, cone, sphere, cube.
