Answer:

Each section below

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) Add all frequencies together = 200, then add 1 and divide by 2 = 100.5, lastly you need to add each frequency until you find the interval that contains the 100th and 101st height.

23+47 = 70

70+45 = 115 -> so the answer is 10<h<u><</u>13

(b) Step 1: find the midpoint of each interval (upper limit+lower limit then divide by 2)

(2+6)/2 = 4

(6+10)/2 = 8

(10+13)/2 = 11.5

(13+17)/2 = 15

(17+19)/2 = 18

(19+20)/2 = 19.5

Step 2: multiply the midpoint of each interval with it's frequency

4*23 = 92

8*47 = 376

11.5*45 = 517.5

15*38 = 570

18*32 = 576

19.5*15 = 292.5

Step 3: add all of the above and divide it by the total frequency

92+376+517.5+570+576+292.5 = 2424

2424/200 = 12.12 (this is your answer to part b)

Hope this helped :)

Which equation is related to √x+10-1=x ? The square root is over the x+10
Sergio [31]

Answer:

  (b)  x + 10 = x^2 + 2x + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation can be transformed to one without the radical by isolating the radical and squaring both sides.

__

  \sqrt{x+10}-1=x\qquad\text{given}\\\\\sqrt{x+10}=x+1\qquad\text{add 1 to both sides}\\\\x+10=(x+1)^2\qquad\text{square both sides}\\\\\boxed{x+10=x^2+2x+1}\qquad\text{eliminate parentheses}

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

In typeset formulas, radicals, fraction bars, and superscript formatting serve to group expressions. In plain text, the only available grouping symbol is parentheses.

  \sqrt{x+1}}\ \Rightarrow √(x+1)

PLS PLS HELP WILL GIVE 50 POINTS TO BRAINLIEST How do you find the radius of a circle with the equation: 03.5 (x+2.2)^2 + 3.5 (y
alexgriva [62]

Answer: r=√6 or r≈2.45.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the radius, you first need to know the equation of a circle.

Equation of a circle: (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

Now that we know the equation of the circle, we can use it to find the radius of the given equation.

3.5(x+2.2)²+3.5(y-11.1)²-21=0

So far the equation looks pretty similar with the exception of the bolded areas. To get rid of them, we need to use our algebraic properties.

3.5(x+2.2)²+3.5(y-11.1)²-21=0                    [add both sides by 21]

3.5(x+2.2)²+3.5(y-11.1)²=21                       [factor out 3.5]

3.5((x+2.2)²+(y-11.1)²)=21                           [divide both sides by 3.5]

(x+2.2)²+(y-11.1)²=6

Now, our equation is the same as the one posted above. You may think that 6 is our radius, but if you look closely, the equation is equal to r². Therefore, 6 is actually r², not r.

r²=6                                                             [square root both sides]

r=√6

Finally, we have the final answer, r=√6 or r≈2.45.
