Dalia owns a gravel pit. She took a random sample of rocks and counted 585858 sedimentary rocks, 213213213 metamorphic rocks, an
goblinko [34]

step One

Find the total number of rocks in the gravel pit

<em>58 + 213 + 522 = 793</em>

Step Two

<em>Set up the probabilities.</em>

<em>P(Sedimentary) = 58 / 793 = 0.0731</em>

<em>P(metamorphic) = 213/ 793 =0.2686</em>

<em>P(igneous) =        522 / 793 = 0.6583</em>

Check

<em>When these are added together the answer should be one.</em>

<em>0.0731 + 0.2686 + 0.6583 = 1 just as it should.</em>

Send help please!! i want to complete it asap
Nadusha1986 [10]
It’s a little complicated but here’s how it works:
Imagine a table with the intervals
0:4 , 4:6 , 6:7 , 7:10 , 10:13 (10 year intervals)
Then we have different rows
Class width: 4 , 2 , 1 , 3 , 3
Freq density: 0.2 , 0.5 , 1.2 , 0.7 , 0.3
So now calculate frequency where freq = class width * density
Freq: 0.8 , 1 , 3.6 , 2.1 , 0.9
So to find median find cumulative frequency
(Add all freq)
Cfreq = 8.4 now divide by 2 = 4.2
So find the interval where 4.2 lies.
0.8 + 1 = 1.8 + 3.6 = 5.6

So 4.2 (median) will lie in that interval 60-70 years.

Answer:

∠ A ≈ 44.42°

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the cosine ratio in the right triangle

cos A = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}  = \frac{AC}{AB} = \frac{5}{7} , then

∠ A = cos^{-1} (\frac{5}{7} ) ≈ 44.42° ( to the nearest hundredth )
