Answer:

The ocean tides on earth are caused by both the moon's gravity and the sun's gravity. Even though the sun is much more massive and therefore has stronger overall gravity than the moon, the moon is closer to the earth so that its gravitational gradient is stronger than that of the sun

What is the equilibrium constant of pure water at 25C?
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

In pure water, at 25C, the [H3O+] and [OH-] ion concentrations are 1.0 x 10-7 M. The value of Kw at 25C is therefore 1.0 x 10-14. Although Kw is defined in terms of the dissociation of water, this equilibrium constant expression is equally valid for solutions of acids and bases dissolved in water.

NARA [144]

Complete Question:

Check the first first file inserted

Answer:

Concepts and reason

This problem is based on the concept of Nuclear magnetic resonance which involves the absorption of radiations in the radio frequency region. This spectroscopy is generally used for the determination of the type and number of protons present in a molecule.

Fundamentals

A spinning charge creates a magnetic field and therefore behaves as a tiny magnet . The spinning nuclei generate a magnetic field on exposure to an external magnetic field . If an external magnetic field is applied , spinning nuclei can get oriented in two ways:

The magnetic field due to nuclei is in the same direction as the external field. In this case, the nuclei are said to be in a low energy spin state.

The magnetic field due to nuclei is in the opposite direction as the external magnetic field. In this case, the nuclei are said to be in high -energy spin state.

What is the molarity of a solution that contains 30 grams of naoh in 500 milliliters of solution?
Fudgin [204]
Molar mass NaOH = 39.997 g/mol

number of moles solute:

n = mass of solute / molar mass

n = 30 / 39.997

n = 0.00075 moles of NaOH

Volume in liters:

500 mL / 1000 => 0.5 L

Therefore :

M = moles of solute / volume ( L )

M = 0.00075 / 0.5

M = 0.0015 mol/L
