Answer:

d. sampling unit

Explanation:

<u>Sampling unit:</u>

Refers to the unit or group of elements that are selected from an original population during an investigation. The sampling unit might be composed of a statistical unit or a group of statistical units.

The statistical unit or element is the elemental unit that composes the target population.

The sampling unit is a basic concept to keep present during the development of the investigation project. It is the minimal unit of observation that will be used to take information about the variables of interest.  All the sample unit composes the population and is defined by an <em>N</em>, while only some representative sample units compose the sample, and are represented with an <em>n</em>.

So, the whole population can not be measured because of its size, or the individuals´ characteristics, among other many factors. So we need to take a random and representative sample or group of the population to proceed with our investigation. This sample or group is composed of some of the original population individuals, which are defined as "sample units".

The answer to this question would be: insulin

Insulin is a hormone that produced by the pancreas. Insulin makes sugar go inside cells. Sugar is the food for cells. Without insulin, the sugar can't enter the cell and the cell food is depleted. This will cause the body feel that the sugar is not enough and trying to increase the sugar concentration. This will result in the increases of blood sugar level.

HELP
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

Photosynthesis produces: <em>glucose </em><em>and </em> O_{2}

                 ...from  CO_{2}, energy (light) and H_{2} O

Respiration produces: energy (ATP),CO_{2}, H_{2} O

                ....from <em>glucose </em><em>and  </em>O_{2}<em />

<em />

Explanation:

These end products, namely O_{2} and glucose are then used in respiration...

Using energy in the form of solar energy, plants, phytoplankton, algae, and other microorganisms produce chemical energy via photosynthesis. This complex mechanism is central to these species.

They combine light energy from the sun, water, and carbon dioxide.

6CO_{2} + 6H_{2} O + (energy) →C_{6} H_{12} O_{6} + 6O_{2}

In the mechanism of cellular respiration, organisms extract energy from food. Sugars in the form of glucose are broken down into carbon dioxide and water during aerobic respiration in mitochondria to produce energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

<h3>C_{6} H_{12} O_{6} + 6 O_{2}  _{\to \ 6CO_{2} + H_{2} O + energy (ATP)</h3>

The waste products, CO_{2} and H_{2} O,  result from respiration, these are used as reactants in the photosynthetic process. In turn, its products are the reactants O_{2}  and C_{6} H_{12} O_{6} in respiration.

For larger distances such as the distance between objects in the far reaches of our galaxy astronomers ensure in units of?
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

Lightyears

Explanation:

When dealing with very large interstellar distances, astronomers do not use the regular miles, kilometers, or meters we are used to. This is because they are just too small to be used as a metric when measuring such large distances. As a matter of fact, the earthly number system will quickly be exhausted when trying to measure some of these interstellar distances.

Instead, astronomers make use of Lightyears. Lightyears are defined by the distance traveled by an object moving at the speed of light if it was moving constantly at that speed for one year.

This can properly be used to estimate interstellar distances. since its value is very large. 1 lightyear = 9,461,000,000,000 Km

If we say that our closest star is 9 lightyears away, we are saying that it will take an object moving at the speed of light 9 years to travel from that star to our planet.

How does a lyric virus kill the cells that it infects
Aleksandr [31]

Answer:

This may help!

Explanation:

In the lytic cycle, a phage acts like a typical virus: it hijacks its host cell and uses the cell's resources to make lots of new phages, causing the cell to lyse (burst) and die in the process. Entry: The phage injects its double-stranded DNA genome into the cytoplasm of the bacterium.
