(first one to answer gets brainliest!), What % of wind energy does the United States use?
Ber [7]

Answer:

Although wind makes up about 8% of total U.S. electricity generating capacity, wind generators provided a smaller share (5%) of total U.S. electricity generation in 2016 because wind turbines have relatively low capacity factors.

Answer: Relevance

The scope of abiotic and biotic factors spans across the entire biosphere, or global sum

of all ecosystems. Such factors can have relevance for an individual within a species,

its community or an entire population. For instance, disease is a biotic factor affecting

the survival of an individual and its community. Temperature is an abiotic factor with the

same relevance.

Some factors have greater relevance for an entire ecosystem. Abiotic and biotic factors

combine to create a system or, more precisely, an ecosystem, meaning a community of

living and nonliving things considered as a unit. In this case, abiotic factors span as far

as the pH of the soil and water, types of nutrients available and even the length of the

day. Biotic factors such as the presence of autotrophs or self-nourishing organisms

such as plants, and the diversity of consumers also affect an entire ecosystem.

Influencing Factors

Abiotic factors affect the ability of organisms to survive and reproduce. Abiotic limiting

factors restrict the growth of populations. They help determine the types and numbers

of organisms able to exist within an environment.

Biotic factors are living things that directly or indirectly affect organisms within an

environment. This includes the organisms themselves, other organisms, interactions

between living organisms and even their waste. Other biotic factors include parasitism,

disease, and predation (the act of one anim

xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

A. His mitochondria lack the transport protein that moves pyruvate across the outer mitochondrial membrane.

Explanation:

Pyruvate is from the breakdown of carbohydrates such as glucose through glycolysis. Glucose enters the cytosol through specific transporters (the GLUT family) and is processed by one of several pathways depending on cellular requirements. Glycolysis occurs in the cytosol and produces a limited amount of ATP, but the end product is two 3-carbon molecules of pyruvate, which maybe diverted again into many pathways depending on the requirements of the cell. In aerobic conditions, pyruvate is primarily transported into the mitochondrial matrix and converted to acetyl-coenzyme A (acetyl-CoA) and carbon dioxide by the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDC).

Initially it was proposed that pyruvate was able to cross the membrane in its undissociated (acid) form but evaluation of its biochemical properties show that it is largely in its ionic form within the cell and should therefore require a transporter.

Transport of pyruvate across the outer mitochondrial membrane appears to be easily accomplished via large non-selective channels such as voltage-dependent anion channels/porin, which enable passive diffusion. Indeed, deficiencies in these channels have been suggested to block pyruvate metabolism

A human rbc is approximately 8 µm in diameter. an unknown bacterium measures 1 ocular space using the oil immersion objective co
galina1969 [7]
A)
size = (number of minor spaces x 10μm) / number of ocular spaces
       = (2 x 10) / 1
       = 20μm

b)Since the RBC has a size of 8μm and the bacterium 20μm, the bacteria is bigger. The Bacterium is bigger than the RBC by 20μm / 8μm
Hence the bacterium is 2.5 times bigger than the RBC.
