Answer:

1) -2/3(x+5)+4(x+5)-10/3(x+5)

=4(x+5)-10/3(x+5)-2/3(x+5)

=4(x+5)-(x+5)[10/3+2/3]

=4(x+5)-(x+5)(10+2/3)

=4(x+5)(12/3)(x+5)

=4(x+5)-4(x+5)

=0

So, Jada~ is ~correct, because ~ by ~adding~negative ~term~we ~get~the~same~value\\of~negative~term~ so, both ~are ~ equaled~ out ~ and ~ get~ 0

Three students were applying to the same graduate school. They came from schools with different grading systems. Student GPA Sch
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

Due to the higher Z-score, Kamala had the best GPA when compared to other students at her school.

Step-by-step explanation:

Z-score:

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the z-score of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the p-value, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

In this question:

Whichever student's GPA had the higher z-score had the best GPA compared to other students.

Thuy 2.5 3.2 0.8

This means that X = 2.5, \mu = 3.2, \sigma = 0.8

The z-score is:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{2.5 - 3.2}{0.8}

Z = -0.875

Vichet 88 75 20

This means that X = 88, \mu = 75, \sigma = 20

The z-score is:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{88 - 75}{20}

Z = 0.65

Kamala 8.9 8 0.4

This means that X = 8.9, \mu = 8, \sigma = 0.4

The z-score is:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{8.9 - 8}{0.4}

Z = 2.25

Due to the higher Z-score, Kamala had the best GPA when compared to other students at her school.

A garden supply store sells two types of lawn mowers.Total sales of mowers for the year were $8379.79. The total number of mower
Sliva [168]
Value + value = 8379.70
249.99x + 329.99*30-329.99x = 8379.70
-80x + 9899.70 = 8379.70
-80x = -1520.00
x = 19 (number of the cheaper mowers sold)
30-x = 11 (number of more expensive mowers sold)
