Your numbers are 11 and 32

We know that:
a + b = 44
and
a = 3b

If we substitute “3b” in for a in the first equation, we get a numerical value for b

3b + b = 44
4b = 44
b = 11

Then we substitute the numerical value of b to solve for a:
a = 3b
a = 3(11) = 33

How do I solve this
Alina [70]

\bf \qquad \qquad \textit{sum of a finite geometric sequence} \\\\ S_n=\displaystyle\sum \limits_{i=1}^{n}\ a_1\cdot r^{i-1}\implies S_n=a_1\left( \cfrac{1-r^n}{1-r} \right)\quad \begin{cases} n=n^{th}\ term\\ a_1=\textit{first term's value}\\ r=\textit{common ratio} \end{cases} \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill

\bf S_{20}=\displaystyle\sum \limits_{n=1}^{\stackrel{\stackrel{n}{\downarrow }}{20}}~\stackrel{\stackrel{a_1}{\downarrow }}{3}(\stackrel{\stackrel{r}{\downarrow }}{1.5})^{n-1}\implies S_{20}=3\left(\cfrac{1-1.5^{20}}{1-1.5} \right)\implies S_{20}=3\left(\cfrac{1-\stackrel{\approx}{3325.3}}{-0.5} \right) \\\\\\ S_{20}=3\left(\cfrac{-3324.3}{-0.5} \right)\implies S_{20}=3(6648.6)\implies S_{20}=19945.8

You are asked to draw a triangle with side lengths of 3 inches, 4 inches, and 1 inch. How many triangles like this can you draw?
marishachu [46]
I think you can draw two of them.

As you walk around the triangle in the clockwise direction,
you can run into the sides in the order of

                 3  ==>  4  ==>  1

or in the order of

                 3  ==>  1  ==>  4 .

Those are mirror images of each other.  So they're not congruent,
and I think they're considered different triangles.

Divide 6x^2+9x-12/ 3x
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

2x + 3 - 4/x

Step-by-step explanation:

6x^2 + 9x - 12/ 3x

1. Reduce the expression by cancelling the common factors.

2x^2 + 3x - 4/ x

2. Divide each term in the numerator by the denominator.

2x^2/x  +  3x/x  -  4/x

3. Simplify each term. Then when you finish to simplify your answwer would be:  2x + 3 - 4/x

i hope its helpful! :D
