How did the wealth of mali impact its neighbors? select all that apply
aleksandrvk [35]

The wealth of Mali was so immense that it impacted its neighbors in the following ways:

 • Mali took over control of the gold-for-salt trade leading to Ghana’s decline
 • Giving away a small portion of Mali’s wealth to Egypt wrecked Egypt’s local economy

Mali was so rich that they were able to gradually take over the gold trade that the Empire of Ghana controlled until Ghana became a vassal state of the Mali emperors.

Mansa Musa as emperor of Mali, went on a Hajj to Mecca and passed through Egypt doing so. As he did this, he gave away so much gold that he crashed Egypt's economy.

In conclusion, Mali was a very rich state and it showed in their dealings with others.

What was the purpose of the Hawley-Smoot Tariff of 1930?
kati45 [8]

Option A, is the right answer, that the purpose of the Hawley- Smoot Tariff of 1930 was to raise import tariffs to protect U.S. firms from foreign competition.

A tax on import is known as Tariff, and the so-called Hawley- Smoot tariff led to a significant rise in the tariff rates on farm products imported into the country. This Tariff Act according to them ( Hawley- Smoot ) would increase the sales of American farm product because these products would be cheaper than foreign products that have a tariff attached to its prices.
