A civil society is a the aggregate of all the units: organisations and institutions, of the society that manifest the will and opinion of the society. A global civil society stresses the global collection of people of all countries. In practice this refers to a great range of activities, including international political and not only political organisations, the engagement of individuals in other countries' affairs, such as the international outrage at gender inequality in India.

Answer: the confederate flag and statues that are erected in it’s memorial do not have much of a place in modern day America. This is basically because we as a nation have moved forward from that time. The confederate flag represents racism in most eyes. Today that flag should have no place because it’s is offensive to people of color.
