A trainer arranged for one of her employee training groups to see the video made from the book Effective Time Management, while

all her other training groups read the book without seeing the video. She wanted to know whether videos could be used as effective aids in teaching time management. She tested each group for knowledge and ability to apply the concepts covered after each type of instruction. On all tests, the group that saw the video did better. This group became so interested in Effective Time Management that most individuals in the group chose to read the book, for the first time, entirely on their own initiative.
There was no evidence that the training group that saw the video understood or appreciated Effective Time Management more than the training group that read the book without seeing the video.

Answer:

The correct answer is:

false (d)

Explanation:

From the evidences highlighted in the question, it is clear that the training group that saw the video, understood and appreciated Effective Time Management more than the other group because of the following reasons:

1. The group that watched the video, performed better in the test for knowledge and ability to apply the concepts covered during each type of time management instruction. This shows that they had better understanding of the content of the material in the video than their counterparts that read the book, as it reflected in their better performance, not just in a particular aspect of the test, but in all aspect of the test. So their performance on the test unarguably shows their understanding Effective Time Management.

2. we are also told that some members of the group that watched the video became so interested that they went ahead willingly to read the book. This shows an appreciation for the concept of Effective Time Management, because their interest was aroused in what they saw in the video, and needed to get more, so they opted for the book.

Eight-month old Jonathan was left by his mother at the baby-sitter's place. The minute his mother left and he could not see her,
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

c) Object permanence

Explanation:

Jean Piaget developed a theory about cognitive development according to which people go through different stages on learning since the day they are born and until adulthood.

Piaget's states that cognitive development goes through different stages and in each one of them the brain acquires new abilities and capacities.

Object permanence refers to the ability to understand that objects still exist even if they are no longer visible. At first, little kids don't understand this and they think that when an object is out of sight it doesn't exist anymore (and also that's why they love to play peek-a-boo for example), however, as they grow older they understand that objects continue existing even when they are not in sight.

In this example, Jonathan is eight-months-old and he is left by his mother at the baby-sitter's place. The minute he could not see her, he started to cry. Because of Jonathan's age and his reaction we can say that he hasn't developed the concept of "object permanence" yet and he's crying because he thinks his mom just disappeared.

Thus, the concept that would explain Jonathan's behavior would be "object permanence"

1.How and why did the universe begin?
Sergeeva-Olga [200]
I guess the answer is going to be how you look at the question. I believe the God of the universe, who was before time, created the universe. I believe the Bible when it says God created the heavens and the earth and down to the last blade of grass. Some people are very zealous about the creation being done is exactly 6, 24 hr. days. However, the Hebrew words aren't that specific and we really don't know what time was like back then. So, if the scientist want to say it took a million or two for the change to happen, I don't find any problem with that. I do not believe people evolved from some random rodent running around (theory after the monkey theory). God made us - not because he was lonely, or needed someone to manipulate or to feed some ego. God made us because he loved us and wanted us to enjoy his handiwork and to fulfill His plan. However, God did not make man a puppet but gave him free will to make choices. Our job is to help people see what the path to eternal life is, to help others and to show His love to others. With God, we are never alone but if you mean is there life on another planet. That may be one of the great mysteries of life we just don't know yet. Moral laws are not just guidelines you follow if you want to or not. They are laws from God and should govern one's life. God gives us brains to listen to others and discern what is meant. The Bible, God's Word to man, tells us many times we should help the more unfortunate, take care of widows and children, help those in hunger and need. However, the Bible also says those that do not work and are able to should not be given food. God expects the able-bodied people to work for a living and not sponge off of other people just because we are lazy.

Hope this helps you some.
