The graph shows the locations of Karen's, Amanda's, and Zaley's houses on a coordinate plane. Each unit on the graph represents 1 block.

Zaley is going to babysit for Amanda and Karen. How many total blocks will she travel if she goes to Amanda's house, then to Karen's, and finally back home? Round your answer to the nearest whole block.

well here we would use the Pythagorean theorem: A^2 +B^2 =C^2

A and B are the legs, so Amanda's distance is A and Zaley's is B

5^2+6^2= C^2

now we find the square root of 5 and 6

5x5= 25 and 6x6= 36

25+36= 61

now we have 61^2 = C^2 and we find the square root,

the square root of 61 is 7.8 but we can round up to 8

so Karen's distance is 8 blocks

now we take Amanda, Zaley and Karen's blocks and add them.

5+6+8 = 19

so Zaley is traveling 19 blocks total

i hope this helped (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

In 3 hours a car traveled 180 kilometers. At the same average rate, how many kilometers can the car travel in 5 hours?
arlik [135]

Answer: 5 hours = 300 Kilometers

Step-by-step explanation: If a car can travel 180 kilometers in three hours then in one and a half hour that car can travel 90 kilometers. If you divide 90 by 3 you will find out that in a half hour that car can travel 30 kilometers. So add 180+90+30=300 that is the same as adding three hours+one and a half+thirty minute=five hours

Hope This Helps!!!!!
