What type of carbohydrate does rice contain
olga2289 [7]

Answer with Explanation

The rice consists of a long chain of carbohydrate, so it has a high glycemic index which has an effect on blood sugar and insulin that is why white rice is avoided to be used for diabetic patients and if used then in a limited quantity. The type of carbohydrate which is present in rice is starch. This type of carbohydrate is good for growing up children and if a person is required instant energy can use this.

Which pair of terms most accurately describes life history traits for a stable population of wolves? A. semelparous; r -selected
Lera25 [3.4K]

The correct option is (D) iteroparous; K -selected

Iteroparous organisms are the organisms that reproduce multiple times.

What is Semelparity and Iteroparity?

 • Semelparity and iteroparity are the two different reproductive strategies available to living beings.
 • Iteroparous species have multiple reproductive cycles throughout their lifetimes, while semelparous species have just one reproductive cycle before they die.
 • Death that occurs after reproduction is part of a bigger strategy in really semelparous animals that also entails maximizing reproduction at the expense of future survival.
 • There will always be some iteroparous individuals who die between their first and second reproductive episodes, but unless they exhibit symptoms of a state of programmed death after reproduction, they are not termed semelparous.

Describe, in general terms, the structural components of ribosomes, including a brief explanation of their function. Explain whe
mylen [45]

Answer:

Structurally, the ribosome comprises of two major parts: The small ribosomal units and the large ribosomal units. Each unit contains ribosomal Ribonucleic acid molecules, which is usually one or more than one called rRNA. Each unit also contain ribosomal protein, rproteins. Each of these components are very important for the translation of messenger RNA into proteins encoded by the RNA.

Explanation:

The ribosome and its components are generally referred to as translational apparatus. The small subunit of the ribosome is effective in reading the codes encoded on the mRNA, which . The large subunit is needed to actually join the amino acids needed to form the right protein (or polypeptides). The proteins within the ribosome is used to act as a scaffold that only aid the ribosome ability to form polypeptides.

Since both prokaryotes and eukaryotes are constantly forming proteins using the amino acids they accumulated through nutrition, therefore, both groups possess ribosome. However, the percentage of rRNA and protein in each group differs. For prokaryotes, the rRNA to protein ratio is close to 2, while in eukaryotes like human is close to one.
