Hello. You have not shown the image to which this question is related, which makes it impossible for the structures marked 2 and 3 to be identified. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way, showing you the structures on the phone created by Graham Bell.

The phone he created had a kind of drum, a container where all the other structures of the phone were positioned. Among these structures there was a kind of membrane, a blade, an electromagnet and a coil. The whole system worked as follows: The user would speak near the membrane that would vibrate with the sound waves, causing the blade to tremble near the electromagnet. This movement would generate stimulate the eleotromagan to create sound vibrations towards the coil. These sound vibrations would be transformed into electrical vibrations within metallic wires that would lead them to the other phone, creating the entire vibration process that would allow the sound of the user's voice to be emitted.

"I believed every word he said." Is this sentence a verb phrase
Talja [164]
No, this sentence is not a verb phrase, because the subject is not part of the verb phrase here.

Here's why. The subject is "I," the verb is "believed," and everything following the verb ("every word he said") forms the object of the verb. By definition, a verb phrase is one verb + its various objects or modifiers. Here, "every word he said" operates as one single object (it's not just one word, it's EVERY word, and it's not just every word, it's every word HE said). But the subject is separate from the verb phrase, so the entire sentence is not a verb phrase (it's a subject + a verb phrase).
