Answer:

D. It begins with comparisons of the other and shifts to comparisons of speaker.

Explanation:

The tone of the poem "Litany" by Billy Collins is ambiguous and doesn't follow a complex syntax or structure. So, the second option goes wrong. The third and fourth suggests the usage of hyperbole and the poet has used metaphors. So, all three becomes incorrect except the first one that suggests the comparisons made by the speaker. The entire poem is based on comparisons using different metaphors like 'bread', 'knife', 'goblet', 'wine' 'birds in flight', 'pine-scented air', etc. The poet begins with the comparison of his beloved and concludes with the comparison of the speaker himself to different metaphors like he says "I am also the moon in the tree and blind woman's teacup".

Write an introduction on the following prompt: Write an essay explaining how disappointments can have a good side.
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

For example if you're a disappointment to your parents you thrive to be better. You want to prove to them you aren't as bad as they think you are. Maybe if you have bad grades you'll try to get better ones because you don't wanna be nothing to your parents. You wanna be the perfect child not some child your parents never wanted.

Another example is if you make plans with your friends and you have something that came up so you had to cancel but when you remake plans maybe you'll have more time to hang out. And you mightve had more time to plan it so it will be better than it was origanally planned.
