Please Help! Are F(x) and G(x) inverse functions across the domain [3,+∞)?
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

For functions to be inverse, it must be true that f( g(x) ) = x and g( f(x) ) = x.

But for F( G(x) ), we have √( G(x) - 3 ) + 8

= √( (x+8)² - 3 - 3 ) + 8

= √( (x+8)² - 6 ) + 8

This -6 part should be cancelled out for functions to work out but we cannot do that, therefore F(x) and G(x) are not inverse.

If the rejection region is +1.10, what will be your decision if the z computed value is 2.34
IRINA_888 [86]

The decision when the z value is within the rejection region is that we'll have to reject the null hypothesis.

What is a rejection region?

It should be noted that the rejection region is also known as the critical region. It is the set of values where the null hypothesis is rejected.

When the observed test statistic is in the rejection region, we'll have to reject the null hypothesis and then accept rte alternative hypothesis.

******ANSWER ASAP PLEASE******
Lemur [1.5K]

(1/4)^-2 - (5^0 x 2) x 1^-1 =

(4/1)^2 - (1 x 2) x 1 = 16-2 = 14

If you raise something to the power of -2, swap numerator and denominator and remove the minus.

So (1/4)^-2 = 4^2 = 16

Also 1^-1 is just 1, not -1.
