Please Help!!! and Show Work!!!
shtirl [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi there! First thing I want to say is that I will have a photo attached to this problem. If you don't see it or need any more clear explanation, please don't hesitate to reach out! Anyways, I will go step by step for this problem and also include a definition.

Okay, what we have here is a right triangle, which has a 90 degree angle. And we have two sides and want to find the other side. With this problem, we will use the pythagorean theorem. The pythagorean theorem is an equation or formula that helps someone to find a side of a 90 degree right triangle, when two sides are presented.

Formula: a² + b² = c²

a would be the height of the triangle, b would be the length, and c is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

What we have so far is b and c. b is 3 and c is 5. So with that in mind we will replace b and c with the numbers we are given. And then solve from there...

a² + b² = c²

a² + 3² = 5²

a² + 9 = 25

      -9     -9

a² = 16

\sqrt{a^{2} } = \sqrt{16}

a = 4

There you go! And you can always go back and check your answer! I hope this helped, if not please ask and don't be afraid! And I again have attached a picture of the work! Have a great day!

Find the dimensions of a rectangle with perimeter 116 m whose area is as large as possible. (if both values are the same number,
creativ13 [48]
The dimensions would be 29 by 29.

To maximize area and minimize perimeter, we make the dimensions as close to equilateral as possible.

Dividing the perimeter by the number of sides, we have

116/4 = 29

This means that both length and width can be 29.

The box office sold 360 tickets to a concert at a college. The total receipts were $4,170. General admission tickets cost $15, a
balandron [24]

Answer:

15g + 10s= 4170

g + s = 360

15g + 10s = 4170

-10g - 10s = -3600

5g = 570

g = 114 general tickets

114 + s= 360

s = 246 student tickets
