Step-by-step explanation:

The pythagorean theorem is the sum of the two legs squares equal the hypotenuse squared.

The hypotenuse is the longest side so 3.5 is our hypotenuse.

Apply formula to see of true.

{a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  =  {c}^{2}

{2.5}^{2}  +  {3}^{2}  =  {3.5}^{2}

6.25 + 9 = (3.5  {}^{2}) {?}

15.25 = 12.25 {?}

So it isn't a triangle since they aren't equal

The Price family and the Jenkins family each used their sprinklers last summer. The water output rate for the Price family's spr
PIT_PIT [208]

Set up two equations:

1st:  P (for Price family) + J (for Jenkins family) = 45 hours

2nd: 20P + 35J = 1200 liters

Rewrite the first equation as P = 45 – J

Replace P in the second equation:

20(45-J) + 35J = 1200

Simplify:

900 -20J + 35J = 1200

900 +15J = 1200

Subtract 900 from both sides:

15J = 300

Divide both sides by 15:

J = 300/15

J = 20

Jenkins used theirs for 20 hours

Price used theirs for 45-20 = 25 hours.

If the cost of a dress is $75.00 and
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Answer:

80%

Step-by-step explanation:

Original price =$75.00

Sale price =$60.00

The percentage discount can be calculated by dividing the sale price by the original price multiplied by 100%.

So % discount = $60.00/$75.00 x 100%

0.8 x 100%

80%

Janelle got the dress on a discount of 80%.

This is so because she got the dress for a price less than the original price

Robert is looking to buy a deep fryer. He has narrowed his search down to two models. The following table gives the details of t
Zinaida [17]
The total cost for the entire life span of the deep fryer  is computed below:
Brand P total cost =Purchase price + total electricity cost
                                = $144+($0.49x8x12x6)
                                =$426.24
Brand Q total cost =(Purchase price x 3)+ total electricity cost
                                =( $37.5x3)+($0.75x 8x12x6)
                                =   $544.5
Difference = Brand Q-Brand P
                   =$544.5-$426.24
                   =$118.26
Robert will have to choose Brand P because it will be cheaper by $118.26 than Brand Q in their entire lifetime.
