Answer:

An era is a period of time that does not have a specific duration, but it is initiated by a certain event whose importance marks a break with the immediately previous period, and in turn ends when a new event of such magnitude breaks with the order established so far. A clear example is the so-called Age of Discovery, which began with the Discovery of America in 1492 and ended in the early 1600s, when most of the planet's territory had already been explored.

Why did Spanish colonists begin to rely more heavily on the Atlantic slave trade by the mid-1500s?
Maru [420]
Sharp decrease in numbers of native Indians.

One  of the main reasons why Spanish conquistadors had to look for slaves from Africa, was the radical decrease in the populations of native Indians. The Indians had either died out of diseases or during the war of conquest. In  addition, inter marriages had also occurred, and usually the mestizos were exempted from months of forced hard labor in the farms and the mines. However the main cause of decline of populations of native Indians was diseases such as small pox which the Spanish colonists had brought with them.

(MC)Why did the Lend-Lease program anger isolationists?
hoa [83]
That it was seen as a way to undermine the Neutrality Acts. In a way, they were right. Lend-Lease basically killed the Neutrality Acts when it was finally put into action and pushed the US a step closer to being a full participant in the war. It wasn't seen as a drain on the US Treasury and isolationists weren't upset over it because of support for the Axis powers -- it wasn't why the Lend Lease program was drafted up in the first place. It also wasn't seen as a direct violation of US law since it still had to be approved by Congress, though isolationists saw it as a violation of their belief that the US shouldn't get involved with foreign conflicts.
