Does Gilbert behave in an expected or<br> unexpected way? Explain your answer
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

People base many decisions on affective forecasts, predictions about their emotional reactions to future events. They often display an impact bias, overestimating the intensity and duration of their emotional reactions to such events. One cause of the impact bias is focalism, the tendency to underestimate the extent to which other events will influence our thoughts and feelings. Another is people's failure to anticipate how quickly they will make sense of things that happen to them in a way that speeds emotional recovery. This is especially true when predicting reactions to negative events: People fail to anticipate how quickly they will cope psychologically with such events in ways that speed their recovery from them. Several implications are discussed, such as the tendency for people to attribute their unexpected resilience to external agents.

What practice did the Dawes Act encourage to change the future of the Native Americans?
Andrews [41]

What practice did the Dawes Act encourage to change the future of the Native Americans ?

It's either A or B because I red this article and It said "social reformers who were aware that Indians were suffering unmercifully under the government's existing reservation POLICIES, and they sincerely believed that the best way to help Indians overcome their plight and they poverty was by encouraging ASSIMILATION" and assimilation meaning by another culture adopts the practice of another culture, so pretty much the Indians had to blend in,(such as immigrants) by doing what Americans do and one of those things were farming and Indians were against that. Many Indians didn't want to become farmers, they thought it was distasteful.

Hopefully I'm right about this :D :)
