  1. Reemplazar cualquier manguera rota, gastada, hinchada o pinchada.
  2. Cambiar las tuberías de acero que presenten filtraciones, torceduras, daños o corrosión grave.
  3. Reconstruir o reemplazar cualquier mordaza o cilindro de rueda que presente filtraciones.
  4. Reemplazar la mordaza si tiene pernos guías o pistones atascados (inspeccione en busca de un desgaste desigual de pastillas)
  5. Buscar filtraciones en el cilindro maestro o comprobar si el pedal de freno se hunde hasta el fondo
  6. Inspeccionar rotores y tambores y verificar el desgaste, deformación, óxido, grietas por temperatura o cualquier otro daño; reemplazar en caso de haber daño irreparable
  7. Cambiar los herrajes de frenos cuando se reemplacen las pastillas de freno o zapatas
  8. Reemplazar los pernos de fijación de zapata y resortes de retorno en los tambores de freno
  9. Reemplazar los ajustadores si presentan signos de corrosión o congelamiento
  10. Realizar mantenimiento en los rodamientos de las ruedas para la mayoría de los vehículos de tracción trasera y para algunos vehículos de tracción delantera
