The y-intercept is the number that comes after the slope, and represents where the line crosses the y-axis. To graph y=mx+b, you need to first graph the y-intercept. In this problem, '2' is the y-intercept, so you would draw a point on 2 on your graph. Then you need to plot the slope. In this problem, the slope was 1/4, so you would move up 1 and move over 4.
