What are the 4 functions families provide to individuals and society? Which do think is the most important? WHY?
Airida [17]
The four functions that families provide to individuals and society are as follows:

1.Families provide a stable and supportive environment for children's primary socialization. Through socialization provided by parents and older family members, children learn basic behaviors (putting own clothes, using a toilet, table manners, etc.). Furthermore, parents play the primary role in teaching  children appropriate norms and values of the society they live in.

2. Next, families provide a big source of support (both financial and emotional support) for its members. Parents support children both financially and emotionally- putting them through school, keeping them warm in the winter, enrolling them for extracurricular activities, etc. Children also support their parents emotionally and in intangible ways by bringing them joy and happiness.

3. Third, families provide conducive environments for healthy and frequent sexual activity. Spouses in a family are able to regularly fulfill their sexual needs, making them less likely to have sexual relations with others outside their marriage. This reduces conflict and helps maintain order in society.

4. Lastly, families enable the reproduction of children and propagation of the human species. Through reproduction of new individuals, society is provided with new productive members. This benefits society and keeps it functioning.  Without new members being regularly added to it, society cannot continue to exist.

I believe that the most important function of families for individuals and society is the first one mentioned above - families provide a stable and supportive environment for children's primary socialization. This function is very important because without proper socialization, individuals will be unable to function smoothly in society, and could even face debilitating issues. When individuals are properly socialized, it benefits society too by minimizing conflict and crime and ensuring that members of society contribute by adding positive value.

It refers to the phenomenon that involves attitude formation of a person in which he or she observes or analyse one's behavior and therefore make conclusions related to specific attitudes that might have caused that behavior.
