Answer:

If you first start with 10% of 0.99 which is 0.099 then do 1% of 0.99 which will= 0.0099 then times the 0.0099 to get 5% which is 0.0495 then you do 0.099+0.0495 which equals 0.1485 then minus 0.1485 from 0.99 which is 0.8415

Simple type into your calculator .99 times .15 because 15% is equal to .15
After you do that you should get .1485 which if you want to round up you’ll get 15
But anyways that .1485 is how much you get off

John is 6 years older than Keisha. Together, their ages equal four times Keisha's age. How old is each? (Note: There must be an
borishaifa [10]
k= Keisha
k + 6= John
k + k + 6 = 4k
2k + 6 ( - 2k) = 4k ( - 2k)
6 = 2k
3 = k
(Keisha= 3 years old)
k + 6 = 9
(John = 9 years old)

3 + 3 + 6 = 4 (3)
12 = 12

So we made the pawn represent Keisha’s age. Then we knew that John is 6 years older than Keisha so we represented his age with a pawn plus 6. This went on 1 side of the equation because it said that together they equal 4 times Keisha’s age. So on the other side of the equation we put 4 pawns because we are using each pawn as Keisha’s age. Then we subtracted the pawns from each side to keep the equation balanced. So we had that 2 pawns equal 6, which means that each pawn equals 3 so Keisha is 3 years old. Since John is 6 years older than Keisha, he must be 9 years old. We checked our work and substituted 6 in for each pawn and found that 12 equals 12, so our equation is balanced.

Hope this helps :)

To pass a math test, students must correctly answer at least 0.6 of the questions. Donald’s score is 5/8, Karen score is 0.88, G
IrinaK [193]
Donald's score of 5/8 is equal to 0.625. Gino scored 3/5 which is 0.6. Sierra's score of 4/5 equals 0.8. Karen's score is already given, and 0.88 is greater than 0.6. None of the students obtained lower than a 0.6. However, if at least does not include scores equal to 0.6, and only scores greater than 0.6, then Gino possibly failed this math test. However, if a passing score is equal to or greater than 0.6, then all four students passed the test.

If m=<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Cfrac%7Bx%7D%7By%7D" id="TexFormula1" title="\frac{x}{y}" alt="\frac{x}{y}" align="absm
mina [271]

Answer:

B. x^2

Step-by-step explanation:

If m = x/y and

n = 1/xy

then

m/n = (x/y)/(1/xy)

You can simplify this complex fraction (fraction over a fraction) with the method Keep-Change-Flip. It works!

KEEP x/y

CHANGE ÷ to ×

FLIP 1/xy over to be xy/1

See image.

x/y • xy/1

= x^2

Solve the following equation for the given variable. 3(x+6)=-9
saul85 [17]

Hello there,

So we are solving this equation for x and the equation is as follows:

 • 3(x + 6) = -9

First we are going to distribute the 3 inside the parentheses:

 • 3x + 18= = -9

Now we subtract 18 from both sides:

 • 3x = -27

Lastly we are going to divide both sides by 3:

 • x = -9

So the answer to given equation would have to be x = -9.

Hope I helped,

Amna
