How does cell division differ between animal and plan cells?
romanna [79]

What are possible side effects that pollution of watersheds would have on Virginia's economy?
storchak [24]

Answer:

A. Virginia's fishing docks would close down.

B. Virginia's wildlife would need to find new habitats.

Explanation:

The protection of watersheds is essential as these natural areas benefit wildlife, human populations, and the national and local economy. Healthy  watersheds provide numerous ecosystem services, which are essential for our well-being, and provide a habitat for numerous species of flora and fauna. If the watersheds are polluted and there are no strategies to fight this situation, then the economy would have serious negative impacts.

First and foremost, fishing provides billions of dollars annually to the economy and supports thousands to millions of jobs. Plus, recreational activities, possibly carried out in this area, also contribute to the economy of an area. Therefore, if fishing docks are closed due to pollution, Virginia's economy would indeed suffer.

Moreover, it would have a negative impact on biodiversity as, apart from result in high levels of mortality, wildlife species would need to relocate to other non-polluted bodies of water to survive and reproduce.
