I'm not sure what you're supposed to round to, but since this is money, I would suggest including the dollar sign in front of the answers and including round to the hundredth's decimal place. Otherwise, you're answers are correct.

(05.02)<br> A line passes through (2, 8) and (4, 12). Which equation best represents the line?
trapecia [35]

We can use the points (2, 8) and (4, 12) to solve.

Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1

= 12-8/4-2

= 4/2

= 2

Based on the question, we need to put the equation in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b).

Let's solve for the y-intercept. (We can use the point 2, 8 to solve).

y = 2x + b

8 = 2(2) + b

8 = 4 + b

8 - 4 = 4 + b - 4

4 = b

Now, that we know what the slope and y-intercept is we can put this into the final equation.

y = 2x + 4 (third option)

Best of Luck!

To ensure he never eats the whole cake, Bobby only decides to eat half of what’s left for each serving. If 2/3 of the cake are l
siniylev [52]
1st serving: 2/3 * 1/2 = 2/6 or 1/3
2nd serving: 1/3 * 1/2 = 1/6
3rd serving: 1/6 * 1/2 = 1/12
4th serving: 1/12 * 1/2 = 1/24
5th serving: 1/24 * 1/2 = 1/48

1/3 + 1/6 + 1/12 + 1/24 + 1/48
1/3 * 16/16 = 16/48
1/6 * 8/8 = 8/48
1/12 * 4/4 = 4/48
1/24 * 2/2 = 2/48
1/48 * 1/1 = 1/48

16/48 + 8/48 + 4/48 + 2/48 + 1/48 = 31/48

Bobby ate 31/48 of the cake in total.
