8y+22=y-12

First way:
—> subtract 2y and 22 from both sides to get 6y= -34
—> divide both sides to get 3y= -17
—> divide both sides by 3 to get y= -(17/3)

Second way:
—> add 12 to both sides and -8y from both sides to get -6y= 34
—> divide both sides by 2 to get -3y= 17
—> divide both sides by -3 to get y= -(17/3)

There are at least 2 other ways to solve this. This is just two ways. The solution will ALWAYS be the same if you have done it correctly. Y will always = to -(17/3)

The Tauroto region contains 31 different species of IceCream-type small monsters. Each capture of an IceCream-type small monster
Rudik [331]

Answer:

 • 0.28

Explanation:

You can determine the probability of the collector has captured at least two small monsters of the same species is the complent of that all the monsters captured are of different species, i.e. none are of the same species.

The probability than none of the five captured small monsters are of the same species are:

1. Probability than the one monster is of the species One, and the others are not of the species One:

 • (1/32) × (31/32) × (30/32) × (29/32) × (28/32)

2. Probability that the first monster is of the species Two, and the others are not of the species Two:

 • (1/32) × (31/32) × (30/32) × (29/32) × (28/32)

3. Probability that the first monster is of the species Three and the others are not of the same species:

 • (1/32) × (31/32) × (30/32) × (29/32) × (28/32)

4. Inference

As you see you have to do this 32 times, and then add all the equal 32 probabilities, which is

 • 32 × (1/32) × (31/32) × (30/32) × (29/32) × (28/32) = 0.72

That is the probability that none of the five small monsters are of the same species. Then, the probability that at leas two small monsters are of the same species is 1 - 0.72 = 0.28

LOTS OF POINTS FOR HELLLP
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

y = 3x+9

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the slope intercept form

y = mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 3x +b

Substitute the point into the equation

6 = 3(-1) +b

6 = -3+b

Add 3 to each side

6+3 = -3+3+b

9 = b

y = 3x+9

The coefficient of xy in the product of (4x2 + 2y) and (3x + y2) is
icang [17]
In polynomials, when a term contains both a number and a variable part, the number is called the co-efficient.
In this problem the co-efficient of x =
(8+y)+(3x+y2)
3y+3x+8
Therefore the co efficient of x and y is 3
