Answer:

5p-2r =19 in this one 5*5-2*3 so in this one p is =5 and r =3 and in the next one 2p+r=4 the answer is for p =1 and r =2 this means 2*1=2 and 2+2=4 and the first one is 5*5=25 and 2*3= 6 and 25-6=19 so that's it I guess

What is the volume of 4/5 3 1/2 3 1/8
scZoUnD [109]
If you would like to know the volume, you can calculate this using the following steps:

volume = 4/5 * 3 1/2 * 3 1/8 = 4/5 * 7/2 * 25/8 = (5*7)/(2*2) = 35/4 = 8.75

The correct result would be 35/4.

Assume the given distributions are normal. Cucumbers grown on a certain farm have weights with a standard deviation of 2 ounces.
forsale [732]

Answer:

13.92

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that the critical z-score associated with 85% to the left is 1.04, we know that by table.

So we have to:

m + z * (sd) = 16

where m is the mean, z is the critical z-scor and sd is the standard deviation, if we replace we are left with:

m + 1.04 * (2) = 16

m = 16 - 1.04 * (2)

m = 13.92

Therefore, the average weight if 85% of cucumbers weigh less than 16 ounces is 13.92

A stadium has 50,000 seats. Seats sell for $25 in section A, $20 in section B, and $15 in section C. The number of seats in sect
Novay_Z [31]

Answers:

section A = 25,000 seats

section B = 14,200 seats

section C = 10,800 seats

Your teacher may want you to leave out the commas from each number.

=============================================================

Work Shown:

  • A = number of seats in section A
  • B = number of seats in section B
  • C = number of seats in section C

A = B+C

A+B+C = 50,000

B+C+B+C = 50,000

2(B+C) = 50,000

B+C = 50,000/2

B+C = 25,000

C = 25,000 - B

25A + 20B + 15C = 1,071,000

25(B+C) + 20B + 15C = 1,071,000

25(25,000) + 20B + 15(25,000 - B) = 1,071,000

625,000 + 20B + 375,000 - 15B = 1,071,000

1,000,000 + 5B = 1,071,000

5B = 1,071,000 - 1,000,000

5B = 71,000

B = (71,000)/5

B = 14,200 is the number of seats in section B

C = 25,000 - B

C = 25,000 - 14,200

C = 10,800 is the number of seats in section C

A = B+C

A = 14,200 + 10,800

A = 25,000 is the number of seats in section A

--------------

Check:

A+B+C = 25,000+14,200+10,800 = 50,000
