Is war important to creating and maintaining a country? why or why not?
harkovskaia [24]
I don't think war is important unless another country wants to start one, then i think it is important to try and win, so that the country wanting to war knows not to mess with your country. but i don't believe that someone should go looking to start a war whenever it is unnecessary.

Hope i helped. -Sheckelstein.

Helen Grey
VikaD [51]

Answer:

A.Your steps go mincing on their way

Explanation:

Helen Grey doesn't seem as a pleasant person at all. It can be concluded from the poem that she enjoys attention, provokes men, makes them fall in love with her and then toys with them and rejects them.

First part of the poem shows all the things Helen Grey does, her behavior and actions, so any line from the first part could be the correct answer (in this case, answer A).

Second part of the poem serves as a warning, suggesting consequences of such behavior, and as a reminder that her beuty will disappear as years go by. All other given answers fall into this category.

*the crucible/PLEASE HELP*EXCERPT 9- Elizabeth: “John, I counted myself so plain, so poorly made, no 17
Aleks [24]

Answer:

She feels partially responsible for John's affair because she feels she wasn't worthy of his love.

Explanation:

The given question refers to The Crucible, a play written by Arthur Miller. In this play, Miller dramatized and fictionalized the story of the Salem witch trials that took place in the Massachusetts Bay Colony during 1692 and 1693.

The given quote is from the fourth act of the play. John Proctor stands accused of practicing witchcraft, compromised by his relationship with Abigail, with whom he had an affair. His wife, Elizabeth, is sharing her true feelings with him about the affair. Because of it, their relationship grew cold, but here, she confesses that she feels partially responsible for it. Their relationship wasn't filled with any passion, and she realizes why he sought passion outside of it. She feels unworthy of his love, describing her detachment from her husband as keeping a cold house.

This is why the last option is the correct one.
