Read the following passage:
Virty [35]

Hello :)

I'm inferring that the answer is C because in the passage it states "I held on to my unforgiveness in the hopes that by drinking this poison I might kill my enemy." basically stating that she was holding a grudge against this person and she hoped that it would hurt them, then she proceeded on stating "But soon it was my insides that were burning.". metaphorically speaking her insides weren't actually hurting from any "poison", she is basically saying that she was the only one who was hurting from holding this grudge. I'm inferring that it is C because that answers makes the most sense.

Which type of decision maker tends to choose the first available option in haste?
faltersainse [42]

The gut instinct follower is arguably the simplest decision maker and tends to choose the first option in haste.

When confronted with two possibilities and a handful of information on each, the instinct follower will generally form an immediate impression, and side with wherever that impression lands.

And mostly that is the correct decision but sometimes you just make the decision too quickly and waste it by choosing the very first option on the list.

How Things Work by Gary Soto Reread the first sentence of the poem in lines 1-2. Where would you pause, and what words would you
viva [34]

Answer:

See explanation below

Explanation:

The first two lines of How Things Work by Gary Soto read;

Today its going to cost us twenty dollars

To live. Five for a soft ball. Four for a book

Pauses are in line 2 just where the full stops are

Stresses are on the words: Today, Five, Four

When these words are stressed, the sentence gains more meaning and feeling.
