What was the caste system? How did the caste system affect society? (Site 1)

<em>The caste system was how the Indian people divided their society. The four main categories are the Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Shudras and Untouchables. The caste system affected society by not letting each caste intertwine within marriage and even eating.</em>
