Answer:

The correct answer would be - the death rate and birth rate are equal.

Explanation:

Population growth or population size depends on the number of individuals increase or decrease in a population in a certain period of time. An increase in number could be by any means such as immigration or birth of new individuals whereas a decrease could be possible by migration or death.

In this case, emigration or immigration are not present and the size of the population is constant which means the size completely depends on the death and births of individuals in the population.

If the population size is constant it means the number of increase and decrease of individuals is equal, so the death rate and birth rate would be equal.

Is hypertonic active or passive transport
Len [333]

I'm a little confused by this question. Hypertonic just means that something has more of something than another thing. For example, if you place a cell in a solution, and 2% of the cell is made out of something while the solution is made out of 40% of the same thing, the solution would be hypertonic to the cell. Sorry if that explanation doesn't make sense, I tried my best lol.

Although I'd assume the answer is passive transport as anything that is hypertonic to something else will diffuse down its gradient in an attempt to reach a balance.

Vestigial structures, such as hip bones in whalesand appendixes in humans, are those that havelittle or no function for the orga
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

This structure has not been highly beneficial for the organism

Explanation:

Vestigial structures are cells, tissues, and/or organs that have no apparent function. Vestigial structures are retained during the course of the evolution, but often they are degenerate and/or atrophied (due to disuse). In general, these structures are homologous to anatomical structures that play a specific role in evolutionarily related species. Some examples of vestigial structures include, among others, the presence of the appendix in humans and wings in flightless birds.
