Given:

m\angle B=90^\circ, m\angle D=90^\circ, AB=6, BD=4, BC=2, DE=x.

To find:

The value of x.

Solution:

In triangles ABC and ADE,

\angle B\cong \angle D              (Right angles)

\angle A\cong \angle A              (Common angles)

\Delta ABC\sim \Delta ADE              (AA property of similarity)

We know that the corresponding sides of similar triangles are proportional. So,

\dfrac{AB}{AD}=\dfrac{BC}{DE}

\dfrac{6}{(6+4)}=\dfrac{2}{x}

\dfrac{6}{10}=\dfrac{2}{x}

\dfrac{3}{5}=\dfrac{2}{x}

On cross multiplication, we get

3\times x=5\times 2

3x=10

x=\dfrac{10}{3}

Therefore, the value of x is \dfrac{10}{3} units.

Multiply2 * x/15 to 2x/15

multiply both sides by 30 which is the LCM of 10, 5, 3, and 15

expand it

simplify 18 - 15x - 12x - 6 + 10x to 12 - 17x

add 17x to both sides

add 4x + 17x to = 21x

divide both sides by 21

simplify 12/21 to 4/7

now simplify

Answer: x = 4/7.

What is a skewed to the right histogram
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

A "skewed right" distribution is one in which the tail is on the right side. A "skewed left" distribution is one in which the tail is on the left side. The above histogram is for a distribution that is skewed right. ... Be that as it may, several "typical value" metrics are often used for skewed distributions.

Discussion of Skewness: The above is a histogram of the SUNSPOT.DAT data set. A ...

A quadrilateral has two angles that measure 222° and 81°. The other two angles are in a ratio of 6:13. What are the measures of
hram777 [196]

\sf\huge\underline{\star Solution:-}

\rightarrow <u>Ratio of two angles are 6:13.</u>

So, let the one angle be \sf{6x} and another be \sf{13x.}

As we know that,

Sum of all interior angles of a quadrilateral = \sf\pink{360°.}

So let's sum up the given angles,

\rightarrow \sf{222°+81°+6x+13x \:=\:  360°}

\rightarrow \sf{303+19x \:=\:  360°}

\rightarrow \sf{19x \:=\:  360-303}

\rightarrow \sf{19x \:=\:  57}

\rightarrow \sf{x \:=\:  \frac{19}{57}}

\rightarrow \sf{x \:=\:  3}

Hence, \sf{x \:=\:  3}

So, First angle \sf{= \:6x\: = \:6×3 \:=} \sf\purple{18°.}

Second angle \sf{= \:13x\: = \:13×3 \:=} \sf\purple{39°.}
