Sometimes having a diagnosis can be more harmful then not knowing. You sound like you know right from wrong so i don’t think you will do anything bad. But if this concerns you that much; I would recommend going to therapy. :)

Insulin is secreted by the beta cells, which are part of the Islets of Langerhans. Three features of insulin exist:

  1. The onset is the amount of time before insulin enters the system and starts reducing blood sugar.
  2. When insulin is most effective at lowering blood sugar, this is known as peak period.
  3. Duration refers to how long insulin keeps lowering blood sugar.
