Pericloud Company produces a product that has a regular selling price of $500 per unit. At a typical monthly production volume o

All selling and administrative costs are fixed and amount to $40,000 per month. Pericloud Company has just received a special order for 2,000 units at $280 per unit. The buyer will pay for transportation, and the regular selling price will not be affected if Pericloud accepts the order. Answer:

$35,000

Explanation:

The computation of effect on profits is shown below:-

Variable Manufacturing cost per unit

Average cost                                        $300 per unit

Less: Fixed Manufacturing cost $37.5 per unit

$150,000 ÷ 4000 units

Variable Manufacturing cost $262.5 per unit

Price at Special Order $280 per unit

Profit per Unit of Special order $17.5

$280 - $262.50

Special order Units                       2,000 units

Total Profit from Special Order $35,000

2000 ×$ 17.50

Q 6.3: Mia received a credit card offer in the mail. The credit card has an annual percentage rate of 26%. What is the approxima
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

D : 2.17%.

Explanation:

The 26% is an APR(Annual Percentage Rate). This is a quoted rate that a credit card company charges . It is also known as the nominal rate.

Since the question is asking for a monthly rate, use the 26% and convert it into monthly rate. We have 12 months in a year; meaning, we will divide the nominal rate by 12;

Monthly rate = APR / n

APR = 26% or 0.26 as a decimal

n = compounding periods = 12

therefore, Monthly rate = 26% /12 = 2.17%

As it ask to run simulations the values calculates will difer even if you follow the same step as I did.

Answer:

Mean Profit:  $ 4,295

Probability of loss:  29.80%

As the product has a mean profit it will on average generate gains

but:

as the standard deviation of the simulation was $ 7,778.40

we should not invest on the product as it is to variable

Explanation:

We are going to use the =RAND() function of excel

which, generates a random number between 0 and 1

This will be done 1,000 times 500 for the variable cost

and 500 for the demand.

Then we copy and paste this numbers to get them fixed.

Then, we convert them into actual cost and demand in units considering their distribution

using excel dist.norm.inv

Now, with this values we solve for profit on each one.

20. To add body to a hearty broth, you may use
Sophie [7]

Answer:

The correct answer would be A, Onions.

Explanation:

Meat, vegetables, herbs, etc are simmered with water on a low to medium flame to make a broth. Broths are usually thin and after some time, due to simmering, it starts to get body. The nutrients in the meat or vegetables or herbs start to mix in the water and give it a delicious taste. But the broth is still thin and needs to be thickened. So in order to make the broth thick, we need to add onions into the broth. Now when it will cook on a slow flame, the broth will get a hearty body and all the nutrients of the broth will make an appetizing dish.

Which of the following situations is the demand most likely to be reduced
Kay [80]

Answer:

The higher the price, the higher the producer's profits. Your needs and wants are unlimited. If heavy competition for a product keeps its price low, businesses will be very motivated to offer the product for sale.
