<span>Its called Doxycycline-induced esophageal ulcer. Its not common. I have been taking Doxy for many years for acne without any complication. Then one night I took a single pill, drank half a glass of water, and went to bed. I woke up with mild heartburn. A few days later, I was in immense pain. I felt burning up and down my whole chest. I was bloated, gassy, and couldnt burp. The pain was so severe, it caused me have a migrane. The pill dissolved in my esophagus, and caused an ulcer.
