Explain the mechanism of biological nitrogen fixation in detail

Biology

Answer:

The biological nitrogen fixation is carried out by some bacteria, cyanobacteria and symbiotic bacteria. In symbiotic association, the bacterium provides fixed nitrogen (NH3) to the host and derives carbohydrates and other nutrients from the latter.

Biological nitrogen fixation occurs in the presence of the enzyme nitrogenase which is found inside the nitrogen fixing prokaryote. In addition to this enzyme, a source of reducing equivalents (ferredoxin (Fd) or flavodoxin in vivo), ATP and protons are required.

What are important functions of fiber in the body?
uysha [10]

Answer:

Fiber helps to prevent constipation in the human digestive system.

Explanation:

According to nutritionists fiber is very important in digestion as it increases the amount of stool , hence prompting for deification which generally reduces the amount of time waste stays in the small intestines .

Another reason is that it gets in touch with the schist that has been rejected or is of no value to the system and binds it to make it compact waste hence it is easier to move along the small intestine and the colon .

Finally it facilitates movement and exercise of the bowel , by prompting regular movement .

Why are both biotic and abiotic features important in ecosystems and biomes?
Sati [7]

Answer:

Hope this is helpful! Sorry if my answer is choppy.

Explanation:

Biotic and abiotic features are both important in ecosystems because for example, a biotic factor like a plant, relies on an abiotic factors like the rain and the sun. If the rain were non existent, then the plants would no longer be alive causing a chain reaction in the food system. Biotic factors like plants and animals that are non existent can also cause negative effects in biomes and ecosystems.

Compare and contrast bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology. What are their similarities and differences? g
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

Bioarchaeology is a discipline that studies human skeletal remains in an archaeological investigation; while forensic anthropology refers to the study of human skeletal remains in a criminal case

Explanation:

Bioarchaeology is a discipline centered on the study of skeletal remains in order to obtain useful information about past societies/civilizations such as, for example, health conditions. On the other hand, forensic anthropology investigates human skeletal remains within a legal and/or criminal investigation. This information may result useful to identify a dead person, find the cause of death, and estimate time since death.

Similarities:

-Both disciplines have a strong biology background (especially in zoology)

-Both disciplines are focused on skeletal analysis

Differences:

-Bioarchaeology is associated with the anthropological study of human societies, while forensic anthropology associated with legal investigations

Describe some of the ways in which real-world pateontology is different from how it is presented in movies
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

Paleontology in the real world isn't as careless and usually in movies they mis-label things. Paleontology isn't as simple as it seems and in many movies they portray little effort or processing and handling of the fossils. It requires much attention and you have to take care of the bones. Jurassic Park is a great example of fake paleontology and comparing it to real paleontology can surprise you.
